Warranty Coverage – Aquariums and Stands
When used under normal indoor aquarium conditions and in accordance with all product instructions, Glass Cages warrants that:
The aquarium will be free from defects in materials and workmanship, including leakage and seam integrity, for the applicable warranty period.
A Glass Cages custom aquarium stand purchased and used with the aquarium will be free from defects in materials and workmanship, including structural and construction defects, for the applicable warranty period.
For aquarium-only purchases (no Glass Cages stand), coverage is limited to the aquarium as described below. For aquarium-and-stand packages, coverage applies to both the aquarium and stand and may be extended as described under “Extended Warranty Options.”
Warranty Conditions – Aquarium Support and Installation
To maintain warranty coverage on the aquarium:
The aquarium must be installed on a flat, level, solid surface. The purchaser may use a different manufacturer’s stand or a privately constructed stand, provided the stand offers a solid, flat-top surface and is structurally sound. Glass Cages must approve any non–Glass Cages stand to validate the aquarium warranty. Proof of stand integrity (photos and/or video) must be submitted by email to info@glasscages.com for approval prior to placing the aquarium on the stand.
An aquarium-grade mat or ¾ inch thick Styrofoam must be used beneath the aquarium. Failure to use proper padding will void the warranty.
The aquarium must not be filled with water prior to the designated fill date. Filling the aquarium before the specified fill date will void the warranty.
For Coast-to-Coast External Overflows and External Notched Overflows, Flex PVC plumbing is required. Use of hard PVC plumbing may cause overflow failure due to compression of the aquarium pad and will void the warranty on these overflow components.
The aquarium system must be used only for its intended purpose as an aquarium under normal conditions and maintained in accordance with Glass Cages’ care and setup instructions.
Warranty Conditions – Stand Use and Installation
To maintain warranty coverage on a Glass Cages custom aquarium stand and any other covered stand products:
The stand must be assembled (if applicable) and used according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
The stand must be used solely as an aquarium stand and only with an aquarium size and weight that do not exceed the stand’s rated capacity.
The stand must be placed on a flat, level surface in a dry, indoor environment, unless specifically approved otherwise in writing.
The stand must not be altered or modified in any way that affects its structural integrity or support characteristics.
The aquarium must be installed and supported according to Glass Cages’ instructions when used on the stand.
Wood furniture stands are fitted with removable feet on the bottom to ensure safe transportation during shipping. There are two to six feet held with two Phillips, Square or Torx T25 head screws. Please remove them prior to setting up your system.
Leveling Feet: For stands with leveling feet, DO NOT drag the stand off the pallet at time of delivery. Dragging the stand off the pallet may cause leveling feet to bend, break, or remove leveling foot cap. Lift stands up and off the pallet when received.
